Gloria holds a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from the Catholic University in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Her professional career spans positions in marketing at Colgate Palmolive and in advertising where she was President of McCann Erickson-Central America handling such clients a Phillip Morris, Coca Cola, Nestle and Gillette.

Originally from Panama, Gloria has served on numerous Boards of Directors of community and church organizations. She has lived overseas for over 20 years in eight different countries in Europe and Latin America, last residing in London, England before moving to the U.S. She speaks several languages including Spanish and Portuguese and is conversant in French and Italian.
